I can’t believe that ?ALT Design Summit is over and we are back home in Chicagoland, inspired! What a great, fun-filled event this was; meeting all the wonderful independent lifestyle bloggers, designers, true artists and adventurers, not to mention all the stylish fashionistas.

I thought Amy was going to?get whiplash from looking at all the trendsetting outfits. ??

Yes folkspersonalized gifts for him for birthday, ALT was truly a great experience of connecting, networking, sharing ideas, learning and getting inspired by all the creativity around us, and for all of you who attended you might agree.

We have had wonderful conversations online but there is nothing compared to meeting your crafty peeps in person.

Our Alt Summit Design Camps in partnership with the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) crafting website Kollabora were a ton of fun. The crafty outcome was amazing. Our BERNINA 330 and 350 PE sewing machines were humming during the crafty hands-on sessions, helping create backpacks, fabric yo-yo necklaces and jewelry stash bags. ?

For all of you who could not join our DIY lounge, no worries. As promised, here are the projects instructions for you to download.

Backpack –; Rachel Faucett, WeAllSew Sewing Expert and author of Handmade Charlotte inspired our backpack designers. See for yourself, don’;t they look cool?

Now off to our next adventure, QuiltCon which is just around the corner. See you there? And for all of you who do not travel to Austin, Texas in February, have an eye on our facebook and twitter. We’ll keep you in the loop what out next adventure is all about.

XOXO,

Here is an easy guide to making your own burp cloths! They are super simple and perfect for beginners. Find more easy homemade baby gifts here to make!

Quite a few moms need to use an electric breast pump to produce and store milk for their babies. For these moms, breastfeeding may not be practical, and using powdered milk won't provide enough nutrition for their babies.

We’re just a few weeks away from Baby #3 and since we didn’t find out the sex this time, and I don’t want a gender neutral nursery, I’m planning and designing for both genders and will be ready to place my orders from the hospital bed! This was inspiration for Aniston’s nursery, that I clearly didn’t use. It’s the only inspiration that I still gravitate to. This is very gender neutral, but I envision bunting for a girl and framed maps and a globe for a boy.I like how this bunting is used over the window {from Restoration Hardware Baby & Child}I’m much more realistic when it comes to bedding the third time around. In lieu of the bedskirt {that only works when the crib is at a certain height}, bumper {which is used intermittently} and quilt {which isn’t used until the age of 1}, I’m opting for an inexpensive, but beautiful cable knit stroller blanket that will be monogrammed. I’ll pair it with Pottery Barn Kid’s chamois fitted crib sheet – my favorite!
